Careful is a dance/theatre performance that explores the meaning of care and empathy at a time when multiple calls are being made on our compassion and on our ethical imperative to respond to people in need. The show puts its audience in the care of five over-stretched nurses, asking: what happens when our capacity to care reaches its limits?
The project capitalizes on rich resources at Kingston University: a collaboration with the Nursing department and with Dr Sue Hawkins, a leading historian of nursing.
Careful is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
